Well, here it is late spring in Texas. Migrating birds are at my feeders. Flowers are blooming. With our lakes only a third full and a long, hot summer beckoning, most Texans are worrying about the drought.
For those interested in news about my books, Harlequin is reissuing many of my old titles as e-books. You can check e-harlequin.com for a list of available titles.
I will have a new paperback book (also an e-book) in June: HIS FOR THE TAKING that is set in Texas.
This is a story about a wealthy oilman/rancher hero and the small town girl from the wrong side of the tracks he loved… and lost… but couldn’t forget because Maddie was so beautiful and so sweet and sexy and so gifted with horses.
Although he’d dated her in secret, he hadn’t believed she was as bad as everybody said she was. Only when she jilted him and ran off with her no-good mother’s equally no-good boyfriend, did he finally accept she deserved her unsavory reputation.
When Maddie returns unexpectedly to nurse a former teacher, she is more beautiful than ever and so sweet, again, he can’t resist her. He is doubly jolted when her long-kept secret is revealed. Had he been wrong about her all these years? Even as his doubts build, his passion for her grows. Maddie who’d been as badly hurt as he, struggles to forgive the town who believed her inferior and the man she ran from. Will love reunite them?
